Bred by Elizabeth Tosh, Tullach Ard Fold, Philip Ruadh is a gentle, easily-handled bull in his prime. He has a good topline and breeds consistantly fine calves, both heifers and bulls, which can be viewed here at Auchtenny. Out-wintered at 1,000ft in the Ochil hills, he is a fit and well-muscled bull and very reluctantly for sale.

Faoilte (pet name Eva) is a very easy cow to handle, I can halter her in the field and she has a gentle nature. I showed her as a yearling with great success, beating off the competition in her class which was much older, having been born at the start of the year. She has good length and a tidy udder, is an easy calver producing strong calves and plenty of milk.

Philip Ruadh is a big calf with a good top-line and length, traits inherited from his dam and sire, Philip Ruadh 2nd of Tullach Ard. This stock bull has produced exceptional calves this year of consistant quality who carry the rare and desirable Strathallan and Scourie bloodlines.

Faoilteʼs black dam can be viewed here at Auchtenny, together with other females from the same breeding line. Her sire, Philip 2nd of Auchtenny born in 2001, is busy breeding very classy stock for the successful Roshven Fold belonging to Alan and Mary-Anne Blackburn.

This is a really beautiful dun yearling heifer, the first born calf of the dun cow I have brought down to Chelford. She likes nothing better than to be groomed and follows me around the field. She was born ʻfriendlyʼ and is a pleasure to handle.
