AGRICULTURAL SHOWS

Auchtenny Fold Pedigree Highland Cattle regularly show animals at local shows which provide a great opportunity to meet new and existing breeders, as well as those interested in starting their own folds.

There is nothing quite like the excitement of competing against some of the best highland cattle. Showing your cattle will encourage you to forge close links with your animals as you prepare for the show, halter training your cattle and teaching them to walk and stand. Cattle which have been shown are generally easier to handle in the future too.

A list of the shows for 2006 in Scotland appears on The Highland Cattle Society website, be sure to contact the show secretary in good time if you want to enter some of your own cattle.
